A Husband and wife were reported lost in Grouse Canyon off the backside of Ward Peak at Alpine Meadows. They were in phone contact and reported a minor knee injury. Alpine patrollers followed their track and CHP helicopter H20 responded. TNSAR skiers received a ride to the Ward Peak top shack and stood by while H20 landed and transported the two MPs to Alpine parking lot. The 2 patrollers assisted in moving the MPs to the landing zone and then hiked out. TNSAR skiers returned to base.
