Stanford Rock and beyond
1/23/05

Each team was given a way point to navigate to. Once at the location each team would find a different scenario. The snowmobilers navigated to Stanford Rock with the Snowmobile Rescue Sled. Once we arrived we took several photos of the lake which was Fogged in. We then simulated a snowmobile accident (snowmobile and rider vs. tree). When teams arrived they were required to asses and treat the injured snowmobiler. Teams were required to report the patients condition over the radio to the Comm. Van and then take full c-spine precautions using a back board and then move the patient to the rescue sled. At one of the other locations I understand there was a beacon search and at the snowcat, team members were required to put the break away rescue sled together and hang it in the cat.
