Castle Peak 12/11/04 |
Mike Le Francois led 14 other skiers into the Castle Peak environs for a weekend adventure. After getting pulled by the mechanized madmen to the South of Andesite Ridge, the skiers proceeded to take and then give back Andesite Peak, continuing to head north to the Peter Grubb Hut. After a quick snack, the adventure continued to Basin Peak where, after a quick political discussion concerning the Truckee Airport Board (inspired by the view) the team headed down for a few minutes of wonderful turns down the SouthWest side of Basin Peak, before finishing the day with a slog down the Castle Valley Jeep trail.
