2 snowboarders left the top of Lincoln chair down the East Ridge, but didn't follow the tracks that would have taken them back to Rollert Pass- ended up down in the Cold Creek drainage. They called patrol to ask for help. 5 skiers were towed to the top of Lincoln by patrol and shown where to find the tracks, which had been followed for a short time by patrollers earlier in the day.

After a nice ski, the boys were found doing fine. They were put on snowshoes and escorted to very near the Lost Trail Lodge, where 4 snowmobilers picked them up and transported to the command post. The snowcat had been in reserve but was not used.
